Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. "To Live Is to Die" is a mostly instrumental composition by heavy metal band Metallica from their 1988 album And Justice for All. Keeping up with the tradition of the band''s previous two albums, the instrumental track comes late in the album and is lengthy. For over 2 decades, "To Live Is to Die" was the longest original studio recording to be released on an album by the band at 9:49, just a fraction of a second longer than "The Outlaw Torn" from Load clocking in at 9:48 and change (note that the original recording of this song is 10:48, but the last minute was cut in order to fit the album within the length limitations of CDs at the time).

The comic strips of Colin B. Morton and Chuck Death deliver an irreverent, heartfelt, and devastatingly funny history of rock and roll. Like Monty Python at its best, their version is surreal and ridiculous - yet somehow everything in it rings true. According to Morton and Death, the bass player in Led Zeppelin was Jean-Paul Sartre. And despite having been able to think up brilliant titles for their first three albums, Led Zeppelin were stuck for what to call the fourth one - so they put a load of prunes on the front. In strip after strip, Morton & Death pinpoint the absurdities and oddities of rock history. In the process, they often come closer to its truth than conventional accounts do, as well as being far more entertaining. As for the drawings, their caricatures of rock stars from Mick Jagger to Frank Zappa, Johnny Rotten to Courtney Love, are in themselves worth the price of admission.

Volume II of the acclaimed and ´definitive´ Metallica history - for fans of Dirt, Slash and all things heavy. ´Few testimonies to the psychopathy of rock bands have been as witty, literate and loving. Read it and roll to the toll of the bell that rings for one of the greatest, heaviest rock bands.´ THE TIMES ´The definitive guide to ´Tallica´s second age.´ KERRANG, KKKK As they embark upon the fourth decade of the career, Metallica´s legacy is as unique as it is remarkable: having sold over 100 million albums their status as the biggest Metal band of all time is indisputable. Following the acclaimed first volume, which chronicled the band´s rise to international stardom, the authors now explore the challenges and tensions that ensued for the band. From the phenomenal, breakthrough, success of 1991´s ´Black´ album to the band´s reinvention with the ´Load/Reload´ albums; bassist Jason Newsted´s shock exit in 2001 and the group´s subsequent meltdown, as laid bare in the unvarnished fly-on-the-wall documentary Some Kind Of Monster, to the divisive ´St. Anger´ and ´Lulu´ sets (recorded with Rick Rubin and in collaboration with Lou Reed respectively), they brilliantly capture this unique bands epic, louder than life saga.
